The Briton House makes available appropriate health care to maintain our residents' wellness and quality of life.

Physicians visit weekly. We have 24-hour emergency nursing care by our Registered Nursing Staff; also a 24 hour emergency call system. Medication can be administered and delivered. Weekly lab services, physiotherapy and footcare are available in the privacy of your suite. Fitness classes, as well as "functioning and balancing classes" are available.

Personal Care Services

Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, escorts, tray service and personal laundry is available.

Person Care Program

The Briton House offers three levels of care based on the individual needs of our residents.

Primary Care Level is for residents who are living independently, and is included in the monthly accommodation fee.

• three meals daily in the Dining Room
• all in-house activities
• weekly housekeeping
• monitoring & dispensing of medication
• Registered Nursing staff is on site 24 hours
• ongoing nursing assessment and consultation
• a house physician is available or residents may retain their own
• supervision of oxygen therapy
• diabetic protocol
• scheduling and reminders for medical appointments
• emerency communication system monitoring and 24 hour response
• encouragement and direction to participate in social events
• assistance with in-house banking
• physiotherapy

Personal Care Level enables the Resident to remain in his/her apartment with assisted living. This level includes all of the services listed above, plus a program designed around the individual's additional needs. Charges wil be based on a fee for service basis. The services may include bathing, escorts, tray service, personal laundry, transfers, and assistance with dressing and undressing, incontinence management, grooming and personal hygiene.

Personal Care Plus Level is reserved for residents who require more care and attention. Care is available 24 hours a day for a flat rate. Our Services provided on the 7th and 8th floor in our North Tower are all inclusive. Our 9th floor provides a Memory Impaired secure environment with again is all inclusive.
